Beryl Bush has always been a keen amateur artist. Now living in the pretty Kent village of Boughton Monchelsea, since retiring, Beryl has had time to enjoy being creative.
While on a world cruise several years ago, Beryl came into contact with the poverty and suffering encountered on a daily basis by people in other countries including India. Beryl was moved to do something and started to draw and paint pictures to sell in order to raise money for charity. All the money that Beryl makes from selling pictures goes directly to support a number of causes including International Needs. She also visits the places where the money is spent to see what progress is being made.
Beryl also supports causes closer to home and appeared on BBC's Cash in the Attic to raise money for the local Scouts. Beryl has also raised money for Boughton Monchelsea's St. Peter's Church where she is a regular attendant. She also teaches art to groups at Boughton Monchelsea Primary School.
